The growth rate of major economic indicators of enterprises above the scale of plastic products exceeds 20%, of which gross output value has increased by more than 25% year-on-year, main business revenue has increased by 23.96%, total profits and taxes have increased by 27.21%, and total profits have increased by as much as 30.36%.
Liao believes that, despite the rapid development of the plastics industry, the industry has not yet shaken off the difficult situation of rising prices of raw materials, power shortages, blind investment, similar products, and disorderly competition. During the “Eleventh Five-Year Plan” period, in order to make the industry sustainable development, the Chinese plastics industry should increase investment in the following aspects: First, strengthen independent innovation, improve product quality, and enhance the core competitiveness of enterprises; second, increase energy conservation and consumption reduction. Reduce costs; third is to strengthen the recycling of plastic waste, take the road of circular economy and sustainable development, and at the same time increase the research and development of degradable plastics and industrialize it as soon as possible.
