The national standard GB/T 6543-2008 "Single corrugated carton and double corrugated carton for transport packaging" was released on April 1, 2008 and implemented on October 1, 2008. Reading through the new version of the standard will reveal that the standard has changed more than the 86 standard. Then, I exchanged views with my colleagues about the changes in the new standard.
1) This standard replaces the two standards of GB/T 6543-1986 Corrugated Paper Box and GB/T 5503-1985 Corrugated Paper Box for Export Products Packaging, and it has achieved the unification of the standards for corrugated Paper Boxes for domestic sales of cartons and export products. This greatly facilitates the implementation of the same standards by both the supplier and the customer, and avoids the delivery problems caused by inconsistent standards.
2) The revised standard specifies the standard for corrugated boxes used for transport packaging to distinguish the sales packaging standard consisting of one layer of single-faced corrugated products that has emerged in recent years.
3) The new version of the standard for the manufacture of corrugated cardboard corrugated board strength indicators, such as burst strength, puncture strength, side pressure strength and bond strength indicators, compared to the 86 version has decreased. The new standard stipulates that the strength index can be less than 10% of the standard value. This will provide the supplier with continuous production improvement opportunities for future production and avoid the qualification of the supplier to exit the market because of a product failure.
4) The new standard specifies that the adhesive used to bond corrugated boxes is only specified as an adhesive material that complies with the relevant standards, and the use of one of the adhesives is not mandatory. This leaves more room for the supplier to choose the right adhesive, because with the constant emergence of new materials, various formulations of adhesive materials are also available, making it easier for suppliers to choose more suitable adhesives. At the same time, it is also easy to improve the bonding quality of cartons and reduce production costs.
5) The new version of the standard corrugated carton bending degree of the detection method has been clear, that is, shaking the cover should be first opened and reciprocated after 180 ° 5 times, so that the supply and demand of both sides of the testing standards of uniformity.
6) The new standard specifies the compressive strength of corrugated boxes as P=K×G×(Hh)/h×9.8 or negotiated by the supplier and the buyer. This makes it possible for the supplier to select the paper and make the ingredients more choices. room.
7) The new standard specifies the method of detecting the internal dimensions. When the inner dimensions are measured, the carton should be supported and shaped. The angle between adjacent faces should be 90°. The length and width should be measured on the tongue and 50mm from the indentation line of the cover. The shaking should be done within the bottom of the box and the top of the box. The distance between the covers is taken from the height of the carton; the carton can also be unfolded so that the bent part can be fully expanded. The unfolded size (manufactured size) can be measured with a straight ruler, and converted based on the relationship between the unfolded size (manufactured size) and the inner size. .
In short, the new version of the standard has the characteristics of clear detection standards and ease of operation for the supply and demand sides.
