“There is no ban to reject paper bags, despite the fact that paper bags have a higher carbon footprint, are more expensive, and produce methane after they are discarded,” she said. “The reason is that they are widely recycled and are therefore considered environmentally friendly. ”
“If people feel negative about plastic packaging, then expanding the use of plastic packaging will be a challenge,” she said. “We should give priority to actively increasing the recycling and reuse of plastics.”
